The Palenzuela Family coffee story started around 17 years ago with Gonzalo and Yrma Luisa’s passion, whom in their “retirement” decided to venture into the amazing world of coffee production as a new project they could build together.
Having scored awards on their first 2 harvest, they continued to develop their project before passing it to the next generation. Delia, his daughter, her husband and her siblings have picked up the mantle with a fresher focus on new farming practices and processing methods, along with the values and principles her parents had. This year, Manuel Barsallo was brought into the team as process and quality control manager to improve practices and techniques. Together, they’ve managed to bring a fresh light to the farm raising the quality of their coffee and scoring their first award in the Geisha category.
