Keith initially pushed the estate in the direction of specialty coffee in 2014. With his direction, the team began to process all the coffees by varietal and began to organize the estate into distinct plots. After attending different specialty coffee trade shows, he was able to partner with different roasters and importers to export their coffees internationally. In 2016 Keith passed the Q-Arabica Grader certification and was a national judge in the Best of Panama in 2017. Fascinated by the wine world, Keith moved to Bordeaux, France at the end of 2016 to continue his studies in an MBA in Luxury Brand Management with a focus in food and wine. He then began an ongoing 8-year career in the fine wine business working for the Calvet family, a recognized Bordeaux fine wine merchant family. Keith’s experience has brought new management practices to Damarli Estate and he continues to work hands-on for sales, quality control and farm management. David’s love for science, experimentation and construction has all contributed to the unique success of Damarli’s coffees. David first began to experimenting with fermented coffees in 2017 in order to create unique expressions of the coffees. This led to winning the Best of Panama in 2019 and runner-up in 2020 in the Pacamara category. This experimentation along with a spirit of continual improvement has led each of the building and various construction phases at the estate. He built lodging to welcome visitors to the estate and finished the Don Manfred dry mill in 2025 to complete a 5 year project of bringing all the coffee processes in house. David continues to improve his fermentation and drying expertise from learning from other leading experts in the field along with his own experimentation and creating best practices. David is the lead on all things coffee at Damarli Estate and continues to push Damarli Estate to the next level.
